The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust hosted a Webinar on Accelerating Progress on Sustainability and Climate Change with DeepTech Innovations. The webinar convened global foundation leaders around the world to deliberate on the role philanthropies can play in promoting the potential of Deep Science -Deep Tech (DS-DT) innovations.

The energetic conversation spanned reflections on how Deep Science – DeepTech (DS-DT) innovations are already demonstrating immense potential in creating impact, as well as their ability to significantly expand the way we consider mitigating the looming climate crisis. The panel also explored the competitive advantages of philanthropies in engaging with the sector, given its sheer scale and thus ability to take a long-term perspective in its portfolio of impact.

The conversation convened over 200 leaders across the philanthropy sector from 30+ regions. Launching on the note of accelerating progress on sustainability and climate change with DeepTech innovations, our esteemed panellists offered thought leadership on exciting investment opportunities in DS-DT, the importance of philanthropies to take risks and contribute directly or indirectly towards building an ecosystem sustainable for DeepTech innovations.
